Covering the more advanced skills of summer hillwalking and mountaineering, this five day course concentrates on the techniques required for multi-day journeys and travel in the sometimes hostile conditions and rocky terrain the British uplands hold. This programme is perfect if you are an experienced hillwalker who now wants to develop all the necessary techniques of navigation, route finding, expedition camping, basic ropework and hazard avoidance. 
 
Previous Experience - summer hillwalking.
 
Your base for the week is Bryn Tiron Farm.
This course includes a two-day one-night expedition in the hills. 
 
What equipment do I need to bring?
40/50L Rucksack, waterproof jacket and trousers, boots, fleece jacket, hat and gloves, flask, water bottle, head torch and spare clothing. Casual clothing, wash kit, towel, spare footwear and sleeping bag.
 
What does my course fee include?
5 nights self-catering, shared bunkroom accommodation, expedition camping equipment and instruction. 
You will need to provide and cook your own meals, but we do provide, light beverages, milk bread and cereals and the expedition meal.
