Emergency First Aid - Level 1
This 8 hour programme is ideal for lone workers or self employed persons who need to meet the minimum HSE criteria for self employed person's and is also recognised by MLT as suitable for the new
Climbing Wall Award.
Your training will take place in both open and broken ground, along with theory sessions. Assessment of participant’s skills takes place throughout the duration of the day.
Aims of the course
At the end of this course participants will be able to:
- assess and prioritise a first aid incident in both remote & urban environments
- deal with an unconscious casualty
- control bleeding and manage shock
- recognise and deal with a wide range of common injuries
- maintain records
- use and maintain first aid kits
- call for outside help
On completion of this training, successful candidates will be will be awarded a certificate in:
Emergency First Aid Level 1
This training is valid for 3 years from date of issue & it is recommended that further refresher training takes place regularly during this period.
